Violin tidbits

The first real violin was built by Adrea Amati, a famous luthier in the first half of the 16th century. According to Wikipedia the oldest surviving violin, dated inside, is Charles IX by Amati made in Cremona in 1564. The craft of lutherie continues today. If you are interested in purchasing a violin, viola or cello please contact us as we would be glad to assist.
