Bows
Extensive training has been completed in the traditional French style of bowmaking and repair with Lynn Hannings.
Each bow that comes into our workshop is checked for it’s weight and balance. In consultation with our client, we can adjust the weight and balance of a bow by choosing the correct wrap. We use silver, silk, or tinsel, depending upon
weight.
Each bow will be returned after it has been carefully cleaned and French polished. Our French polish is hand-mixed in small batches. This polish protects the stick.
When rehairing we use only wood plugs to hold the hair in place. Each plug for the head, frog, and ferrule are cut to fit each individual bow.
We offer professional repairs for damaged bows.
